SHOULDER SEASON: A Generative Writing Course + Community
A 4-week online class, on Thursdays at 6pm PST in September. For those who haven’t written in years to those with a daily practice. Together, we’ll read+reflect on queer poetry, go through some generative prompts, and build a small but mighty community of folks who want to muse on the vastness of queer existence + the page as portal.
All experience levels are truly welcome + encouraged. Writing groups shouldn’t be intimidating. If you’re a person who loves writing or wants to try something new, this class is for you.
Class format will roughly follow this schedule:
-Check-in
-Read (predominately queer!) poems together
-Go through writing prompt
-Time to write
-Time to share (sharing optional)
