(Okay, enough third person). I am working on a full-length book, QUEER TIME. Recently, I received a Canada Arts Council grant to bring this to completion. These past two summers I’ve been grateful to bring work to Tin House Summer Workshop and the Sewanee Writers Conference. As a writer who has not attended an MFA, I am interested in how creatives can forge their own paths toward publication, community, and creating an artist’s life.

In organizing, writing, teaching, etc., my aims are to support diverse voices, build meaningful community, and spur enchantment through ritual + connection. I believe that writing does something, that gathering together in creativity can be cosmic, and that art has a role to play in activism. I feel most alive when immersed in language and music, when scanning the horizon for whales, when showing up for community and holding space for others to create + feel + envision.

I love collaborating with artists who share similar dreams. To feature my writing, work on a project together, invite me to facilitate or teach, or to simply talk about being queer creatives in a beautiful + challenging world,
get in touch.
